Almost all couples are captured through a camera lens for the first time, excluding mobile selfies, which everyone takes nowadays. Pre-wedding shoots (Add link)  or wedding day will be the first experience with a professional camera. Not everyone is comfortable posing or being themselves in front of our camera and photographer. So how do we achieve those candid shots where the girl is laughing, her head thrown back? With these tips and tricks, it is possible to make yourself comfortable during any of your shoots.

Best Posing Tips for couples and photographers

Know Each other– Meet your photographer or Cinematographer at least once before the event. If not, talk about your preferences, events, ideas and plans. The more you get to know your Photographer or Cinematographer more comfortable your shoot will be. The less you know your photographer, the more likely you will feel uncomfortable.

Locations Matters– Whether it is a Bangalore city limit or an outstation shoot out of Bangalore. Do not get tired before shooting, Do not start shooting as soon as you reach the destination. Pick a location that you are familiar with than an unknown location.

Prepare your ideas– Richie films team always have a few shot ideas for clueless couples; we would ask you to bring in or share their ideas and thoughts too, which helps us to be on the same page.

That Whisper – Pull your partner closer, whisper something sweet into their ear, and let it be real. Whether that’s a pronouncement of love resulting in a sweet facial expression or a funny joke in their laughter, it’s guaranteed to get some great emotions most of the time.

The Cuddle – Simply hold your partner’s head and touch your forehead with love or gently kiss on the forehead; turn a bit towards the camera angle to ensure the camera’s lens sees your facial profile.

The Kiss – The genuine emotions of love would get displayed when a couple kisses each other most of the time; we don’t want to miss capturing those beautiful emotions; you can kiss your partner on the lips or the cheeks its always your choice. Kiss slowly and pause for a while before you kiss. Your candid photographer will capture the build-up and emotion leading up to that kiss! Always

Play Music– After a few romantic close-up shots, headshots and portraits, When we plan for a few wide-angle shots, we will play a few simple songs that will get you in the mood or vibe and get your body swaying most of the time. Pick your favourite tracks always to keep your body moving, especially dance numbers which you love. It will be easy to capture your happiness and easier to get you to pose always.

Reserve your time – Listen! Whether you have a flight to catch, drive somewhere, or a party to join, Never be in a hurry to finish your photo shoot; plan and reserve your day for the shoot, and it will reflect in the photographs. Plan your photo shoot when you don’t have a strict schedule or commitments; it’ll help you to relax and be yourself. After all, this time is for you and your partner!
